Kanaan has won several places in age group competitions in previous years and has also done well in international competitions up to 1.40m. His beautiful appearance, not typical of Kanaan offspring, has made him a favorite choice of breeders in recent years.

Kanaan's lineage is remarkable on both his dam's and sire's side. Kanaan's sire, Kannan, was the only stallion in the world to be ranked in the top 12 stallions in the WBFSH rankings since 2010. The offspring of the famous Voltaire became available to breeders after a fantastic racing career.

His foals also show exceptional skills on the international stage, with numerous Grand Prix victories to their name. His most successful offspring: Nino des Buissonnets, who won the 2012 London Olympics with Steve Guerdat; Diva II, who was successful at the 2015 European Championships in Aachen with Ben Maher in the saddle; and Molly Malone, who successfully launched the international career of her young Irish rider Bertram Allen.

Kanaan's offspring are characterized by strength, caution and a strong competitive spirit. This exceptional stallion recently passed, making his stud offspring even more valuable to breeders from 2020.

The stallion's maternal great-grandsire is the famous Sandro Boy, who won the World Cup Final in Kuala Lumpur with Marcus Ehning up. The pair have won more than EUR 1.2 million in prize money in their racing careers.
