Vitzbold's father Verdi is a European and world champion, and Olympic team silver medalist with the Dutch national team.

Description

With Maikel van der Vleuten, he competed in five consecutive major championships: 2011 Madrid European Championships; 2012 London Olympics; 2013 Herning European Championships; 2014 Caen World Championships; 2015 Aachen European Championships. He participated in three World Championship finals, finishing sixth twice and seventh once.

Verdi's maternal line belongs to the renowned Holsteiner "Plüschau" 474a family, which is associated with top horses such as VDL Bubalu, Vingino, and Calato, a stallion also standing in Hungary. Verdi currently holds the prestigious 18th position on the top 100 stallion ranking list, making him a dominant force not only in sport but also in breeding.

Vitzbold is the only Verdi-sired stallion licensed for breeding in Hungary. His pedigree is exceptional, with foundational sires such as Almé, Ladykiller xx, Calypso I, Absatz, Landgraf I, and Grannus appearing in his fourth generation.

Vitzbold's Oldenburg dam line boasts remarkable achievements. He has two siblings competing at 1.40m and an Oldenburg-licensed stallion brother with premium status. His maternal lineage has strong Hungarian ties: his second dam produced Argon, a licensed stallion competing internationally at 1.45m, while his third dam was the 1.60m-rated Laura (Lord Liberty – Grannus), ridden by Attila Cser. This dam line has produced numerous showjumpers competing between 1.40m and 1.60m.

Despite his substantial frame, Vitzbold possesses exceptional dynamism in his jumps, embodying the traits of a classic breeding stallion. His first foals will be born this year, and he will remain available to breeders in 2025. His offspring will carry forward this extraordinary genetic legacy.
