Despite his young age, Prestige di Fer already carries significant prestige, having been licensed in 2023 in one of the most highly regarded studbooks, OS (Oldenburg Springpferd).
The foundation of this exceptional pedigree lies in the world-renowned Querly Chin dam line. Its founder, Joris de Brabander, early recognized the extraordinary qualities of his mare Querly Chin (1.60 m), establishing one of the most successful breeding lines of all time. All 11 of her offspring competed at international level, including Walnut de Muze (1.60 m), Narcotique de Muze IV (1.60 m), and Narcotique de Muze II (1.60 m), the great-granddam of Prestige di Fer.
Narcotique de Muze II competed at the highest level with Olympic champion Eric Lamaze and produced 13 offspring that reached top sport, among them the stallion Querlybet Hero (1.60 m), Loro Piana Boyante de Muze (1.60 m), and Sea Coast Ferly (1.60 m), the granddam of Prestige. An impressive 40 of her grandchildren compete at Grand Prix level, including Vagabond de la Pomme (ridden by Pénélope Leprevost) and Go Easy de Muze (ridden by Daragh Kenny). This extraordinary family has also produced top-level horses such as Killer Queen, Inshallah de Muze, Falais de Muze, Jenson van’t Meulenhof and Kasanova de la Pomme.
Sea Coast Ferly, Prestige’s granddam, was also a successful international Grand Prix horse with numerous placings at five-star level. His dam, Just di Fer, is by Tornesch, who was for years the top-performing partner of Olympic silver medalist Malin Baryard-Johnsson. Together, they were key members of the Swedish team at multiple European Championships and three World Cup Finals.
To complement this outstanding dam line, Prestige di Fer is sired by the legendary Chacco-Blue, a long-time world number one sire. His offspring are renowned for their exceptional technique, canter, and scope—qualities clearly reflected in Prestige, combined with a striking and distinctive color.
This world-class genetic package is now available to Hungarian breeders through the Fábiáncsics Stud.
Although still young, Prestige di Fer has already delivered promising results in sport. At the 2024 Young Horse Championships, he received an outstanding style score of 9.0 in the 4-year-old category, finishing in an excellent 3rd place overall. He is currently competing in age-appropriate classes, consistently demonstrating his talent with balanced and precise performances. At the 2025 Young Horse Championships, he placed every day in the 5-year-old style classes, finishing the final day with a clear jump-off.
