In the 2019 Indoor Finals, he performed flawlessly on all three days in the 6-year-old field, and in the outdoor season, he was awarded in his category every day at the "National Young Horse Championships", during the breeding competition. 

His sire Conmiro is a young, modern Hanoverian stallion. He was the Champion stallion at the 2014 Mecklenburg stallion show and is currently competing actively at 160 cm as Veyron. He has been Grand Prix winner of several international competitions in the USA. The dam of this Conterno Grande x Heartbreaker stallion is Biness Van Overis, also a Grand Prix winner.

Convey's maternal grandsire is the justly famous Chacco-Blue. It is through the offspring of this stallion, who died young, that he became so popular with breeders. Many of his nearly 2,000 foals are competing on 160-centimetre courses and are regular Olympic participants. He has been the unbroken leader of the WBFSH ranking of the world's best jumping sires since 2017.
