Introduction

"The two-time Olympic champion Sapphire's dam line"

Description

Chin Chin is one of the few stallions to have competed in two Olympics (Seoul and Barcelona), finishing 6th in the individual event, and then in two World Cup finals with his Mexican rider.

He is the sire of dam lines currently considered the best. Just think of Querly Chin (Querly Chin – de Muze line) or Ta Belle van Sombeke (dam of Glock's London and Taran de la Pomme). His daughter Usha van't Roosakker's line is currently one of the most popular dam lines in online embryo auctions.

He is also the sire of BWP Ambassador Phin Phin and one of the most popular stallions at VDL, Arezzo.

Chin Chin van de Eijkhof's dam's sire is Darco, who was also a participant and runner-up at the Barcelona Olympics, a World Cup finalist and World Champion, who led the world rankings for five years among breeding stallions and is currently a top 50 stallion.

His best known offspring are Parco, Otterongo and Winningmood, as well as Mclain Ward's star mare Sapphire.

Sapphire's name is also linked to her pedigree in another way, as Eijkhof's great-granddam is the BWP mare of the year, Idjaz-C, who has had 9 (!) foals reach Grand Prix level, including two-time Olympic champion Sapphire.

Several foals by the young stallion's dam Nevada van’t Merelsnest have been sold at elite auctions, including Chin Chin van de Eijhof's dam’s sister Eldorado van de Zeshoek, who was the most expensive foal at the 2020 auction in Westphalia.
